About Dr. Quines
I launched California Waves Psychiatry in February 2026 because I saw too many intelligent, driven adults struggling with ADHD and anxiety who were either over-medicated or not receiving the careful, unhurried attention they deserved. After more than eight years in outpatient psychiatry—including ongoing work at Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and psychiatric training across major UCLA-affiliated sites (Olive View - UCLA Medical Center, West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, and Sepulveda VA Medical Center)—I wanted to create a different kind of practice focused entirely on care that supports sustainable, long-term improvement.Education & Training
MD – Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Class of 2014
Psychiatry Residency – Olive View-UCLA (formerly UCLA-San Fernando Valley), completed 2018
Board Certified – American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, 2018
My approach centers on non-stimulant medications when appropriate, paired with brief, practical CBT-informed coaching to build better focus, emotional regulation, and executive function. I provide thorough, unhurried care in a private cash-pay setting with no insurance delays or restrictions. Superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement.I serve California adults statewide via secure telehealth. Feel free to connect with me on X @WavesPsychMD—DMs are open for questions.
I am a member of Ethera, a professional network of therapists and clinicians committed to collaborative mental health care.Find me online:
